MSIT

Małopolska Tourist Information System (MSIT) integrates both: analogue as well as digital version of 32 Tourist Information points. It is implemented in partnership with 25 communes and districts in Małopolska as part of the Małopolska Regional Operational Programme.

MSIT – a good idea!

Benefits:

• high quality of services and a high level of tourist satisfaction,
• provision of comprehensive and reliable information as an element of the region’s active marketing and promotional policy,
• adapting tourist information (TI) to European standards and unification of the TI standard throughout the province,
• increasing the number of users of tourist information services,
• increasing the level of accessibility of tourist information, also for disabled visitors,
• increasing the popularity of the province and its tourist attractions in a sustainable manner.

MSIT also means tourist signage that makes it easier to move about Małopolska and explore its most beautiful corners.

The project involved the creation of:

• 89 information boards located by the region’s main tourist attractions,
• 20 information boards in car parks by national roads,
• 504 tourist road signs by the main provincial and district roads.

Each Tourist Information point offers various free printed materials (including tourist maps of the province) in a number of language versions that promote Małopolska’s tourist offer.

The tourist web portal www.visitmalopolska.pl is a source of reliable and up-to-date tourist information about Małopolska. Visitmalopolska.pl has gathered local tourist web portals of the project partners and the existing websites about Małopolska’s tourist offer.
